First, let me thank all of you who have actively supported Julie in this abortion of justice. It seems every time I read a new blog a new piece of evidence surfaces from folks with long memories. The latest being the story of the Norwich policeman driving a sting van around drinking beer with underage women. Allegations of photographing these young women naked led to the dismal of all involved. You guessed it, our own Det. Lounsbury was behind the wheel of that van. http://www.wtnh.com/Global/story.asp?S=594152

Some how, through his union lawyer he was reinstated and put in charge of the cyber crimes unit. http://ww2.myupn9.com/Global/story.asp?S=818224

Everyone makes mistakes but this type of behavior is not what I would expect from an expert witness whose unethical and uneducated testimony was largely responsible for Julies conviction. I really wonder why the prosecution did not use the testimony of the State Police investigator who trained Det. Lounsbury. Could it be because he looked a little deeper into the facts and found what two independent forensic examinations found. The PC was riddled with malicious code. There were no keyed in web sites with the exception of AOL mail. There are too many unanswered questions left in this trial. The bottom line is Julie was found guilty of allowing minors to see pornographic images. Regardless of how they got there, everyone must understand that no one feels worse about that than Julie. She did the best she could to keep the children from seeing those images.
She begged for help from other teachers who ignored her pleas and told her not to worry “Pop Up’s Happen. So do prison terms for innocent people. Julie and I have vowed to fight this to the bitter end. Your letters of support serve as a constant strength to Julie. Your generous contributions make it possible for us to continue our fight. Thank you to each and every one of you and may god bless.

Let us hope the penalty will be the token $1. The jury's assumption is that everyone is a computer wiz. My wife is a judge & does not know how to escape pop up porn from returning. I would say. like so many institutions, improper tech training was & still is the problem at the school. Unless you train every teacher as a computer tech. Still the problem will not go away as greedy hacks can stay one step ahead of Microsoft, etc. so how are you expected to win. Good luck.
